Musical Theater
Theater activities can be used to teach emotion recognition and expression, non-verbal behaviors and gestures, listening skills, eye contact, conversation skills, strategies to handle social situations, and critical social skills. By learning how to create a character, the students are able to step outside of themselves and interact in a new way with the audience and their peers. Singing is also an ideal medium for self-expression and storytelling! These classes also serves as an excellent introduction to musical theater and its concepts! Each student receives speaking lines and a solo singing part and receives as much stage time as possible!
We enroll kids age 8-18. Please contact jodi.jacksonmd@gmail.com if interested.
