Musical Theater

Theater activities can be used to teach emotion recognition and expression, non-verbal behaviors and gestures, listening skills, eye contact, conversation skills, strategies to handle social situations, and critical social skills. By learning how to create a character, the students are able to step outside of themselves and interact in a new way with the audience and their peers. Singing is also an ideal medium for self-expression and storytelling! These classes also serves as an excellent introduction to musical theater and its concepts! Each student receives speaking lines and a solo singing part and receives as much stage time as possible!

Summer 2019

This summer’s session of All Kids Theater is designed to explore and improve the many different skills necessary to put on a successful show through various different musical theater-related activities. Students will have opportunities to sing, dance, act, and explore theater! During the last class, we will put on a small performance for family and friends, to showcase what the students have learned.
